1

Setup

Establish safe work area
and direct traffic to safe distance.

2

Preparation

Clean work area of standing water,
loose asphalt and dirt.

3

Heater Placement

Place infrared heater over the centre
of damaged area. Large areas of damage can be
restored through consecutive heats.

4

Heating Time

On average, it takes 5-8 minutes to heat
the asphalt to 325˚. Time will vary based on material,
moisture and other variables.

5

Scarifying

Once the heater is removed,
the damaged area is squared off and scarified.

6

Rejuvenating

A small amount of asphalt
rejuvenator is applied to the entire scarified area.

7

New Asphalt

Fresh asphalt is transferred from the
reclaimer and raked evenly throughout the patch and
into the trough created around the edges.

8

Compaction

The repaired area is rolled and the hot asphalt
is fused to the hot existing road, thereby eliminating
any seam.

9

Finish

The smoothed area is dusted
to remove any tackiness to allow for traffic
to continue immediately.
